Join the LGBTQ+ Alliance of Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils to learn how to recognize what microaggressions are and how they create hostile environments. Gain tools for making your meetings safe spaces for all participants and mitigate the harm caused by microaggressions. We'll examine case studies and engage in group discussion via an LGBTQ+ lens to understand how implicit biases produce lasting and exclusionary environments. Participants will learn how to actively establish more inclusive environments that encourage participation from all our community members.
